Spring is here and there’s no better time for change. The air is warmer (Jhb seems to have skipped Spring and went straight into Summer); the trees are green again and there are only a few short months to get that summer body.
What I loved most about Winter is the darker colour palette – my favourite colour being grey. With age comes solid colours – I seem to have accumulated a wardrobe full of neutrals and solid colours, however, it can become a bit dull for Spring. Therefore I chose to brighten things up with this printed skirt. An easy way to liven up your winter wardrobe is to add a bit of colour or print to your look. I kept this look simple with the addition of just one brightly coloured item because I’m still ‘transitioning’ however this skirt can be worn with a top in a similar print or with another bright colour.
What I love about pieces such as this skirt is that it can be worn up or down depending on how it is paired. For a more formal look, wear a beaded or ruffle top and add a block heel to it. I wore this to a quick coffee and mini photo shoot with my new blogger and photographer friend – Amanda Custo.
