I’m ready for Summer! I’ve had my share of winter between Cape Town and Johannesburg this past week. I think I’m done!!
I’m on my third week as an independent woman and I’m beginning to enjoy it. The house work isn’t as arduous and I’ve found a domestic helper, which feels like my greatest achievement this week. Being away from home makes me appreciate all the little things, like coming home to a cooked meal. However, I am enjoying cooking. I feel like I finally get to put my qualification to some sort of use. I really enjoy cooking healthy, nutritional meals with the odd dessert now and then.
This cosy longline cardigan from Forever 21 is my ultimate go – to for this season. It was one of my first few purchases when I arrived in Cape Town and realised I wasn’t equipped for the cold. I’m really into longer length jerseys and tops. Maybe it’s me growing up and finally listening to my dad or… let’s just leave it as me being an obedient daughter! I pretty much wear this jersey with everything now. The white turtle neck from Cotton On is another favourite of mine – I have it in various colours. It works so well on it’s own or layered. I usually wear something over so the neckline peeps out the top.
